Designing for large screens first often creates mobile afterthoughts: tiny taps, heavy images, and forms that feel exhausting on a phone.

Start with the thumb zone

Primary actions should be easy to reach. Navigation should stay simple. Content should breathe.

Respect bandwidth

Compress media and load only what is needed. A beautiful page that stalls on cellular is not beautiful in practice.

Test on real devices

Simulators help, but real phones reveal spacing, contrast, and keyboard issues faster than any mockup.
